Free plan: your data stays on your phone
If you use Kauro without an account, everything you record (sessions, miles, income, expenses and settings) is stored only on your phone. We don't receive it. GPS is used on the phone to count miles; we never store or send your route or coordinates.
With an account (required for Kauro Pro)
When you sign in with Google and use cloud backup, our server stores:
- From your Google account: your email and an account identifier. We never receive your password.
- What you record in the app: sessions (date, times, miles, platform, notes and the name of the city where they started and ended, used for the IRS mileage log), income and expenses with their categories, platforms, maintenance reminders and your settings (tax percentage, goal, odometer, vehicle, IRS rates and quarterly payments marked as paid).
- A random identifier for each phone, used for syncing.
- Your subscription status, provided by Google Play (no card details).
Your IP address is used for service security (for example, abuse limits) and is not stored in our database.
How we use it
Only to provide the service: keep your backup, sync your phones, restore your data and know whether you have Pro. We don't sell your data, show ads or share it for advertising.
Where it is stored
On Cloudflare (Workers and D1), which processes it on our behalf. Payments are handled by Google Play.
How long
While you have an account. If you cancel Pro, your data stays on the server so you can restore it or come back to Pro, until you delete your account. When you delete it, it is removed from our database immediately; the provider's backups are discarded within 30 days.
Your rights
You can export your data to CSV from the app, restore it and delete your account anytime. For any request, write to support@tshock.dev.
Children
Kauro is for adults who work as drivers. It is not directed to anyone under 18.
